Weingut Prager is one of the most respected wineries in Austria’s Wachau region. The family estate is located in Weißenkirchen and is led by Toni Bodenstein, who has gained international recognition for his precise and terroir-driven wines. The estate is a member of the prestigious Vinea Wachau association.
Prager’s vineyards include some of the Wachau’s most celebrated sites such as Achleiten, Klaus and Steinriegl. These steep terraced vineyards are planted on gneiss and granite soils that contribute remarkable minerality and structure.
The winery focuses primarily on Grüner Veltliner and Riesling. Grüner Veltliner typically shows flavors of green apple, citrus and white pepper, while Riesling expresses stone fruit, lime and a distinctive mineral backbone.
Through meticulous vineyard work and careful cellar practices, Weingut Prager produces wines that combine purity, depth and outstanding ageing potential. The estate’s top bottlings are widely regarded as benchmarks for Wachau wines.
