Mendoza fine wine from Argentine are the lowest-lying vineyards that use water from the river and consists of the districts Lavalle,Guaymallén, Las Heras and San Martin and parts of Maipú. The vineyards lie at 550 to 700 meters above sea level. The 14,000 hectares of vineyards are located on rolling hills and have a deep underground speciallysuitable for the cultivation of grape varieties such as chenin blanc, Pedro Ximenez, Ugni Blanc andTorrontes.
