Fine wine from Vinho Verde Portugal
The Vinho Verde area in Portugal's northwest is famous for its crisp, dry white wines and mildly sparkling rosé wines. All sorts of grapes, such as Alvarinho, Loureiro, and Trajadura, go into the production of these wines. The characteristic characteristics of Vinho Verde wines are their high acidity, low alcohol concentration, and fruity aromas and tastes. Within a year or two following the vintage, they are best enjoyed. Wines from the Portuguese region of Vinho Verde have gained popularity as a refreshing choice for the summer and a natural complement to seafood across the world.
