Quilceda Creek is one of the most iconic wineries in Washington State, United States, and is widely regarded as one of the greatest producers of Cabernet Sauvignon in North America. The estate was founded in 1978 by Alex Golitzin, a member of the historic Golitzin wine family. Today the winery is run by his son Paul Golitzin.
The wines are sourced from carefully selected vineyards within the Columbia Valley, particularly renowned areas such as Red Mountain and Horse Heaven Hills. The focus of the estate is almost entirely on Cabernet Sauvignon, with extremely low yields and strict selection.
Quilceda Creek gained international recognition when several vintages received the perfect score of 100 points from Robert Parker. The wines typically display intense aromas of blackcurrant, cassis and dark plum, accompanied by notes of cedar, graphite and spice.
With their depth, structure and ageing potential, Quilceda Creek wines are considered among the most sought-after cult wines of Washington State.
