Rusden Wines is a small family-run winery located in the renowned Barossa Valley in South Australia. The estate was founded by the Boundy family, whose connection to winemaking in the region spans several generations.
The vineyards are mainly located around Vine Vale, an area known for its sandy soils that are particularly well suited for varieties such as Shiraz, Grenache and Mataro. Many of the vines are from older plantings, contributing to the concentration and complexity of the wines.
Rusden wines typically display intense aromas of ripe blackberry, black cherry and plum, accompanied by notes of spice, chocolate and subtle earthy nuances.
With its focus on traditional winemaking, low yields and expressive fruit, Rusden Wines has built a reputation as an authentic producer of classic Barossa Valley wines.
