Santa Sofia is a historic winery located in the Valpolicella region of Veneto, Italy. The estate is housed in a Renaissance villa designed by Andrea Palladio and has been producing wines that reflect the rich tradition of the region for generations.
The vineyards are planted with traditional grape varieties such as Corvina, Rondinella and Molinara, which form the foundation of Valpolicella wines. Through careful vineyard management and the use of traditional methods like the appassimento process, Santa Sofia produces a range of wines from fresh Valpolicella to structured Amarone.
The wines are known for their balance and approachability. Valpolicella shows bright red fruit and freshness, Ripasso offers added depth and spice, while Amarone delivers richness, dried fruit and a full-bodied structure. Santa Sofia combines heritage with consistency, offering classic expressions of Veneto wines.
