Wijngoed Thorn is a Dutch winery located in the historic town of Thorn in the province of Limburg, near the banks of the River Maas. The estate benefits from limestone-rich soils and a relatively mild microclimate, conditions that have proven well suited for quality wine production in the Netherlands.
The vineyards are planted with carefully selected grape varieties including Pinot Blanc, Auxerrois, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and Pinot Noir. These grapes thrive in the region’s cool climate and limestone soils, producing wines with vibrant acidity and elegant structure.
The white wines often show aromas of apple, pear, citrus and white flowers with subtle mineral notes. The red and rosé wines, typically based on Pinot Noir, offer delicate flavors of red berries, cherry and light spice.
With a focus on sustainable vineyard practices and modern winemaking techniques, Wijngoed Thorn produces wines that reflect the character of Dutch terroir while maintaining freshness, balance and food-friendly versatility.
