Vega-Sicilia’s Tinto Valbuena 5º Año 2018, from Ribera del Duero, is a Tempranillo-driven blend with Merlot from 30-year-old vines on limestone soils. The 2018 vintage, balanced and warm, yielded vibrant grapes. Fermented in oak and aged 5 years in French and American oak, it pours deep ruby with black cherry, plum, and spice aromas, plus graphite and earth. Full-bodied, it offers silky tannins, fresh acidity (5.5 g/L), and rich fruit with a mineral finish. Sustainable practices ensure quality. Ideal for steak or cheeses, it evolves through 2035.
