It pours a deep purple, with aromas of blackberry, cassis, and pepper, plus graphite and violets. The palate is full-bodied, with velvety tannins and vibrant acidity, delivering dark fruit and spice. Aged 18 months in French oak, it’s a critic’s favorite. Pair with smoked brisket or roasted eggplant. A collector’s gem.
