It pours a deep garnet, with aromas of blackberry, cassis, and pepper, plus mocha and spice. The palate is opulent, with firm tannins and bright acidity, offering dark fruit and earth. Aged 18 months in French oak, it’s a critic’s favorite. Pair with smoked brisket or mushroom risotto. A collector’s treasure.
