Chateau Giscours

Château Giscours is a Third Growth in Margaux and one of the Médoc’s more characterful classed growths. Cabernet Sauvignon drives the blend, supported by Merlot and smaller proportions of Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. The wines often carry classic Margaux perfume—violets, cassis and cedar—but with more frame and depth than the appellation’s most delicate examples. In strong vintages, Giscours can be both fragrant and muscular, a combination that gives it a loyal following among left-bank enthusiasts.
