Château Pédesclaux is a Fifth Growth (Grand Cru Classé 1855) estate located in Pauillac, one of Bordeaux’s most prestigious appellations. With a history dating back to the early 19th century, the château has undergone a remarkable transformation in recent years, combining tradition with modern winemaking precision.
The vineyards are planted primarily with Cabernet Sauvignon, supported by Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. Situated on Pauillac’s classic gravel soils, the terroir ensures excellent drainage and optimal ripening, contributing to wines of structure, depth and elegance.
The wines of Château Pédesclaux are refined and balanced, offering aromas of blackcurrant, cassis and dark plum, complemented by notes of cedar, tobacco and subtle spice. Firm yet polished tannins and a fresh backbone provide structure and ageing potential, while maintaining a smooth and approachable style.
