Domaine Rapet is a traditional Burgundy estate based in Pernand-Vergelesses, at the northern edge of the Côte de Beaune. The family has been cultivating vineyards here for several generations and today the domaine is recognised for wines that express the elegance and precision typical of this often overlooked village. With holdings in Pernand-Vergelesses as well as parcels in neighbouring appellations such as Savigny-lès-Beaune and Aloxe-Corton, Domaine Rapet works across some of the classic terroirs surrounding the Corton hill.
The estate focuses on Burgundy’s two great varieties: Pinot Noir for the reds and Chardonnay for the whites. The red wines typically show bright red cherry fruit, subtle earthiness and finely woven tannins, reflecting the cooler exposures of Pernand-Vergelesses. The whites, often grown on limestone-rich soils, combine freshness with gentle richness, offering notes of citrus, white flowers and lightly toasted hazelnut. In both colours the emphasis is on balance and clarity rather than power, allowing the vineyard character to remain at the forefront.
Domaine Rapet’s approach remains rooted in Burgundian tradition: careful vineyard work, restrained use of oak and a philosophy that prioritises terroir over technique. The resulting wines are classic expressions of the Côte de Beaune—refined, structured and capable of developing additional complexity with a few years in bottle. For Burgundy enthusiasts seeking authenticity and a strong sense of place, Domaine Rapet is a name that consistently delivers.
