Jason Schwartz is an Australian winemaker from the Barossa Valley in South Australia and the founder of the Schwartz Wine Company. Since the early 2000s he has built a strong reputation for producing expressive wines from some of the region’s most respected vineyards.
Schwartz works with fruit sourced from old vineyards in Barossa Valley and McLaren Vale, particularly varieties such as Shiraz, Grenache and Mataro. Many of these vineyards are dry-farmed and produce grapes with intense concentration and character.
The wines typically show aromas of blackberry, dark plum and black cherry, supported by notes of spice, cocoa and subtle earthy tones. The style balances power with freshness and structure.
Through careful vineyard sourcing and minimal intervention in the cellar, Jason Schwartz produces modern Barossa wines that highlight the richness and authenticity of the region.
