Kaesler Wines is a historic winery located in the renowned Barossa Valley in South Australia. The estate was originally founded in 1893 by Johann Georg Kaesler, a German immigrant who settled in the region. Today Kaesler is known for producing powerful and expressive Barossa wines, often sourced from very old vines.
The vineyards are planted on warm, sun-drenched soils ideally suited to varieties such as Shiraz, Grenache and Mataro. Some parcels include vines that are over a century old, producing naturally low yields and highly concentrated fruit. The wines typically reveal aromas of ripe blackberry, black cherry and plum, complemented by notes of spice, dark chocolate and licorice.
Kaesler combines Barossa Valley heritage with modern winemaking techniques to create wines with depth, structure and richness. Careful vinification and ageing in oak barrels contribute to complexity and excellent ageing potential while preserving the distinctive character of the Barossa terroir.
