Morlet Family Vineyards is a highly regarded Napa and Sonoma-based winery founded by French-born winemaker Luc Morlet and his wife Jodie. Before establishing the estate in California, Luc Morlet worked at several prestigious wineries in Bordeaux and Napa Valley, bringing with him a philosophy that blends Old World precision with the richness of California fruit. The winery has quickly become one of the most respected boutique producers in the region.
Within Sonoma County, Morlet crafts elegant wines from the cool-climate vineyards of the Russian River Valley, a region known for producing some of California’s finest Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. The fog-influenced climate and well-drained soils allow grapes to ripen slowly, developing complexity while maintaining natural acidity. Morlet’s wines from this area often show aromas of ripe cherry, wild strawberry and subtle spice in the Pinot Noir, while the Chardonnays reveal notes of citrus, white peach, toasted hazelnut and delicate minerality.
The winemaking approach emphasizes meticulous vineyard selection, gentle handling of the fruit and careful barrel ageing to preserve purity and balance. Morlet Family Vineyards produces wines in very limited quantities, focusing on depth, texture and precision rather than volume. The result is a portfolio that captures both the elegance of the Russian River Valley and the refined sensibility of a winemaker deeply rooted in the traditions of fine French wine.
