Avennia

Avennia is a boutique winery in Washington State founded by winemaker Chris Peterson, formerly of Quilceda Creek, together with Marty Taucher. The estate focuses primarily on Bordeaux varieties sourced from some of the Columbia Valley’s most respected vineyard sites including Champoux, Sagemoor and Red Willow. Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc dominate the range, producing wines of dark fruit, graphite and finely structured tannins. Avennia’s style emphasises precision and vineyard expression rather than sheer power, placing it among the most respected modern producers in the Pacific Northwest.
