Scions of Sinai’s Heldervallei Cinsaut 2019, from South Africa’s Stellenbosch, is crafted by Bernhard Bredell from old bush vines on granite soils. The 2019 vintage, warm and dry, produced concentrated grapes. Fermented with whole clusters and aged 10 months in old oak, it pours bright ruby with red cherry, raspberry, and floral aromas, plus earth and spice. Light-bodied, it offers soft tannins, vibrant acidity (5.9 g/L), and bright fruit with a mineral finish. Minimal intervention ensures terroir purity. Ideal for poultry or charcuterie, it drinks well now but holds through 2027. A delicate Stellenbosch gem.
