Blankiet Estate is a prestigious winery situated on the western slopes of the Mayacamas Mountains in the heart of Napa Valley. Founded in the late 1990s by Claude and Katherine Blankiet, the estate quickly gained recognition for producing some of the most refined Bordeaux-inspired wines in California. The vineyards occupy a remarkable site between Yountville and St. Helena, where volcanic soils and cooler hillside influences contribute to balanced ripening and remarkable fruit concentration.
The estate’s flagship wines are built around Cabernet Sauvignon, often blended with Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot. These wines display deep aromas of cassis, blackberry and dark plum layered with graphite, cedar, violet and subtle spice. Through extremely low yields, meticulous vineyard management and rigorous fruit selection, Blankiet achieves wines with both intensity and remarkable precision.
In the cellar, the philosophy is firmly focused on expressing terroir. Grapes are handled with great care and the wines are aged in fine French oak barrels to develop structure and complexity. The resulting wines are powerful yet polished Napa Valley expressions that combine richness with elegance and possess the structure to age gracefully for decades.
