The Cain Five 2008 is a refined Bordeaux-style blend from Napa Valley’s Cain Vineyard & Winery. The 2008 vintage yielded balanced grapes. It pours a deep ruby, with aromas of blackberry, cassis, and spice, plus graphite and violets. The palate is opulent, with plush tannins and vibrant acidity, delivering dark fruit and mocha. Aged 20 months in French oak, it’s highly rated. Pair with grilled lamb or vegetarian lasagna. A collector’s treasure.
