Niepoort’s Charme Tinto 2014, from the Douro’s Vale de Mendiz, blends old-vine Touriga Nacional and Tinta Roriz on schist soils. Dirk Niepoort’s vision yields elegance in the balanced 2014 vintage. Fermented in lagares and aged 18 months in old oak, it pours ruby with red cherry, rose, and mineral aromas, plus spice and earth. Medium-bodied, it offers silky tannins, bright acidity (5.9 g/L), and vibrant fruit with a refined finish. Minimal intervention ensures purity. Ideal for duck or cheeses, it evolves through 2028.
