Niepoort’s Turris 2014, a rare Douro gem, is crafted from century-old vines in Cima Corgo’s schist soils. Led by Dirk Niepoort, this single-vineyard blend of Touriga Nacional and others reflects the 2014 vintage’s balance. Fermented in lagares and aged 22 months in old oak, it pours deep ruby with blackberry, violet, and mineral aromas, plus spice and earth. Full-bodied, it offers silky tannins, vibrant acidity (5.8 g/L), and concentrated fruit with a long, stony finish. Minimal intervention ensures terroir purity. Ideal for venison or cheeses, this limited release evolves through 2032. A Douro masterpiece.
