Product description
Quinta do Crasto, a Douro Valley icon, produces the Touriga Nacional 2011 from 30-year-old vines on schist soils. Family-run since 1615, the estate excels in single-varietal wines. The 2011 vintage, warm and dry, yielded concentrated grapes. Fermented in stainless steel and aged 18 months in French oak (50% new), it pours deep violet with blackberry, violet, and spice aromas, accented by graphite and vanilla. Full-bodied, it offers robust tannins, balanced acidity (5.4 g/L), and rich fruit with a smoky finish. Sustainable practices ensure quality. Ideal for beef or game, it peaks now but holds through 2028. A bold Douro expression.
