Babylonstoren is a historic Cape Dutch wine estate in South Africa’s Simonsberg region near Franschhoek. The farm dates back to 1692 and today combines restored historic buildings, gardens and vineyards. The winery produces wines from classic varieties including Chenin Blanc, Chardonnay, Shiraz and Bordeaux grapes. The whites are typically vibrant and mineral with citrus and stone fruit character, while the reds show ripe Cape fruit balanced by freshness and structure. Babylonstoren has become one of the most visible modern ambassadors of South African wine.
