Scions of Sinai’s Feniks Pinotage 2019, from Stellenbosch, is crafted by Bernhard Bredell from 50-year-old bush vines on granite soils. The 2019 vintage, warm and balanced, yielded rich grapes. Fermented with whole clusters and aged 11 months in old oak, it shows ruby with red plum, blackberry, and spice aromas, plus earth and minerality. Medium-bodied, it offers soft tannins, fresh acidity (5.8 g/L), and vibrant fruit with a clean finish. Minimal intervention ensures authenticity. Ideal for grilled meats or cheeses, it evolves through 2028. A refined Pinotage.
