Scions of Sinai’s Heldervallei Cinsault 2022, from Stellenbosch, is crafted by Bernhard Bredell from old bush vines on granite soils. The 2022 vintage, balanced and warm, produced vibrant grapes. Fermented with whole clusters and aged 10 months in old oak, it pours bright ruby with red cherry, raspberry, and floral aromas, plus earth and spice. Light-bodied, it offers soft tannins, vibrant acidity (5.9 g/L), and bright fruit with a mineral finish. Minimal intervention ensures purity. Ideal for poultry or charcuterie, it drinks well now but holds through 2030. A delicate Cinsault.
