Quinta das Liceiras

Quinta das Liceiras is part of the "Sociedade Agricola da Romaneira ', the same group which includes Quinta da Romaneira belongs. Quinta das Liceiras is located on the Douro river itself, and therefore provides port wine in a somewhat fresher style. Quinta das Liceiras is located in the heart of the Douro valley near the village Cotas. The high altitude vineyards cover some 15 hectares and are partly planted with very old vines, up to eighty years. The grape varieties used are Tinta Barocca, Roriz and Tinto Tinto Cao. Vinification is done on site, as well as education in large wooden casks. A very traditional working Quinta.
